The best place to find competitive upcoming Pickleball tournaments on a country by country and state by state basis is www.pickleballtournaments.com and go to the "tournament" link. You can find the results of past tournaments as well as see upcoming tournaments sometimes a year or two in advance. All the details on how to register, entry fees, tournament format, lodging suggestions, directions, what players have already registered, who is looking for partners, and lots more information are available on a tournament by tournament basis.
An additional source is www.usapa.com and click on the tournament link.
You can also just "Google" Pickleball tournaments and come up with interesting results. It's best to put in a State. Sometimes you can pick up local "social" tournaments that are always a lot of fun and a great way to meet people. Many "social" tournaments have a fun, round robin type format where you might not have to pick a partner to register because you play games with and against all the players in your Bracket, which are usually coordinated by age group and skill sets.
OUR CHARITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Please note that Yonah Mtn Pickleball Club hosts 3-day tournaments on its 9-court complex in Cleveland, Ga in May and November every year, as well as two half-day socials. Our four tournaments in 2017 were very successful and we thank all players who participated. Let me also take this opportunity to give a HUGE thanks to our 5 gold sponsors for all four of these 2017 tournaments. Their contributions covered a majority of tournament expenses so that most of the actual tournament revenues were donated to worthy non-profits in White County, Ga. This is the REASON we created our club, and we could not be more grateful for the opportunity to help our community. The 2017 donations were made to : $6,500 to Smithgall Humane Society; $5,655 to Community Helping Hands on the square in Cleveland; $2,685 to White County Parks & Rec (a majority of which was for scholarships for kids to participate in sports); and $1,125 to Sautee Nacoochee Community Assoc ("SNCA") to support their arts and historical programs.
THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS: Our five Gold sponsors for all of or our 2017 tournaments are: AAMCO Transmissions in Duluth, GA (owned by our pickleball players Steve & Cheryl Orehowsky); La Cabana Mexican Restaurants (owned by the Valadez brothers, two of whom are local pickleball players - Rudy and Romiro); Associates of Family Dentistry: Dr. Edward Wall, DMD - a local Cleveland dentist; Superior Healthcare, LLC out of Canton, Ga; and The Longstreet Clinic, P.C. out of Gainesville, GA. If you know any of these folks, use them as your dentist or doctors, eat at their restaurants, etc. be sure to go out of your way to say thanks for supporting pickleball. We could NOT put on these tournaments without them. Also, Pickleball Central (http://pickleballcentral.com); Onix Pickleballs (http://www.onixpickleball.com); Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Helen, GA; and Ingles in Cleveland all either donated products and/or gave discounts for our players.
